Aimee is very passionate about the health and well being of all breeds of dog and realises how important Hydrotherapy can be for pain relief and rehabilitation for dogs with certain conditions, injuries as well as general fitness.

Our pool is 5 metres by 3 metres by 1.2 meters deep that allows all breeds of dog from the smallest up to the larger breeds to have a comfortable swim in a safe environment. All dogs are individually assessed and provided with a personalised program created to suit their needs and abilities.

Aimee will always enter the pool with our patients/clients enabling us to offer comfort and reassurance, whilst being able to feel the affected areas to maximise their rehabilitation and fitness. We have excellent relationships with all our local vets and strive to work closely with the vets for patients referred to us. We are professional and serious about what we do to ensure the full well being of all dogs that come through our pool.

We are situated 5 miles south of Cambridge and are easily accessible as we are very close to the M11, A11 and A14.

About Rehabiliation

Canine rehabilitation supports dogs recovering from injury, surgery, or age-related mobility changes by improving strength, comfort, and overall function through targeted therapeutic techniques. Hydrotherapy provides low-impact exercise that reduces pain, builds muscle, and improves joint mobility; laser therapy offers non-invasive, drug-free pain relief by reducing inflammation and speeding up tissue healing; and mobility sessions use tailored exercises to enhance strength, balance, flexibility, and movement quality.

Conditions that benefit from rehabilitation including hydrotherapy, laser therapy and mobility sessions:

- Hip and Elbow Dysplasia

- Cruciate ligament injuries (pre/post op)

- Arthritis and degenerative joint disease

- Muscle weakness or atrophy

- Post-surgical rehabilitation

- tendon and ligament injuries

- Muscle strains and sprains

- Wound healing

- Age related Mobility decline

- Sporting or working dogs needing conditioning

Please note due to only having a pool onsite this is not suitable for dogs with spinal conditions for hydrotherapy treatment.

PawMotion Rehab is run and managed by Aimee Plumb-Joy. Aimee is fully qualified in the Level 3 diploma of Small Animal Hydrotherapy, has a Diploma in Canine Myotherapy, is qualified as a fear-free professional and a canine Mobility nurse. Aimee is passionate about the health and well-being of all breeds of dogs and realises how vital hydrotherapy can be for pain relief and rehabilitation for dogs with certain conditions, and injuries as well as general fitness. Aimee's passion for hydrotherapy came about due to the fact that her late dog, Stan, was riddled with arthritis and had a spinal cord stroke so found general life activities difficult. Not only did Stan have a painful condition he was reactive to people and dogs so finding a local centre that was able to meet his needs was difficult. This pushed Aimee to set up PawMotion Rehab and make it a safe place for all dogs including reactive dogs.
